As one of the most experienced magicians performing in Las Vegas today, Dixie Dooley can claim over 30 years and many major Strip properties in his resume. The entertainer has done escapes, card tricks, dissappearances, appearances, and ventriloquism. His current show, at the Royal Resort Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, is a simple affair. Classic illusions, an intimate showroom, and no giant hydraulics make his current magic show an up-close-and-personal look at well-performed illusions. Really, the theater is among the smallest you'll ever see in Las Vegas, which would be a problem if Dixie Dooley failed to interact well with his audience. But interact he does, as every good magician should. Every guest will feel personally connected with Dixie and his showgirl/cheerleader/beautiful assistant/wife Julie. They'll be happy to pose for pictures and autographs after the show, and work hard to make everyone feel welcome.
The magic show isn't very expensive, and it's not very long either. It's most definitely worth a visit if you want to meet a master magician. It might not be the best use of a short vacation, as the Royal Resort is off-Strip a little bit and not a major destination. But anyone who wants to get close, really close, to classic magic will be more than happy with their visit with Dixie Dooley.
