It
is not primarily a story about us -- although it is easy to find
ourselvesin it -- it is a story about God and God interacting with all
of creation (including humans)."
Epicis
an emerging community in that Epic is pretty new and is interested in
what God is doing now. Epic is a bitraw and developing and doesn't
admit to having the whole thing worked out, but Epic is eager for God's
plans. Epic is primarily a worship-driven and relational community which
means Epic is focused on experiencing the presence of God through all
the parts of Epic's gatherings and between Epic's gatherings. Epic also wants to
be a diverse community so that different people from different
backgrounds at different places in their faith journey can gather together and experience what an experience in community is. Epic span all generations and backgrounds.
Epic values authentic dialogue rather than mindless agreement. So Epic welcomes
people who are not Jesus followers to come and engage with the
community. A lot of the folks who would find Epic interesting are
people who are part of the post-church crowd (grew up at church and
maybedon't go any more) and those Jesus-followers who want to be part
of a gathering that's a bit more down to earth and casualthan a
"normal" worship service.
Epic is a faith community that
desires to learn about, live out and share the Gospel while realizing
our place in God's amazing story. Epic's mission is to faithfullylive
outin Las Vegas. Epic invites you to use Epic's online resources to learn
more about Epic and Epic's growing community. If you are in the Las Vegas
area, Epic invites you to join Epic in worship and the preaching of God's
word at Epic's Sunday Gathering or attend one of Epic's Gel Groups which are hosted throughout the city.
