Little Caesars began as a single restaurant in Garden City,
Michigan in 1959. Public response was so
positive to the restaurant, that only 2 years later the husband and wife team
who opened Little Caesars sold the first Little Caesars franchise restaurant.
Within a decade of its debut, Little Caesars had become an international chain
of pizza restaurants when Ontario, Canada became home to the expanding number
of Little Caesars locations.
Little Caesars rise
to success as a chain of pizza restaurants is owed to the value offered to its
customers. This value was the key to an
effective advertising campaign during the 1970's familiarly known as "Pizza!Pizza!" Little Caesars was the pioneer for the concept of "buy one, get one free," that
it still practiced as a norm in fast-food marketing. Little Caesars practice of innovation within its industry
would allow for Little Caesars to become the first pizza restaurant customers
could enjoy within a lunch break, the first pizza restaurant to offer a drive-thru window, and the first pizza
restaurant to open a location in a stadium.
Today, Little Caesars has expanded considerably to include
locations within access to any citizen within the 50 states and beyond. Nevada is no exeption, with almost 20
locations within Las Vegas alone. Despite
Little Caesars growth, it remains to be family-owned and continues to be headed
by its founders. The franchises that
Little Caesars created consist of hundreds of family-owned businesses.
