Remembering Red - A Tribute to Red Skelton is a nostalgic trip down memory lane with Brian Hoffman performing the jokes and routines that made Red famous. Red Skelton, born in Vincennes Indiana, son of a circus clown, was an American comedian who was best known as a top radio and television star from 1937 to 1971. Skelton's show business career began in his teens as a circus clown and went on to vaudeville, Broadway, films, radio, TV, night clubs and casinos, all while silently pursuing another career as a painter.
Brian's expert portrayal of Red Skelton will have you reminiscing as he performs these hilarious routines. The show includes several characters that Red Skelton created and performed in his variety show including those two seagulls, Gertrude and Heathcliffe. You will also enjoy the silly antics of the dim-witted country bumpkin, Clem Kadiddlehopper and everyone's favorite hobo who lived in the city dump, Freddy the Freeloader.
Combine that with a couple of pantomimes, along with a taste of "Guzzlers Gin" plus the Pledge of Allegiance and you will be Remembering Red - A Tribute to Red Skelton. This is a family friendly, ALL AGES welcome show that will have you smiling for years to come.
