The Pavilion Sales & Operations Team consists of professionals from the best meetings facilities around the world including Del Coronado, Meridien, The Biltmore, Westin, Hyatt, Stouffers, Disney, and Mandarin, among others.

A dedicated Conference Service Manager works with you to meet all of your needs, including Rooms, Food & Beverage, and meeting room sets.

A Meeting Planner Recognition Program is in place throughout the facility to assure awareness of the critical role that Meeting Planners play in the success of the Rio.

The Rio is known for its superb cuisine. Our culinary team prides itself on its quality and creativity. Prestigious ‘James Beard Award’ winners are not uncommon; our Pastry Chef recently was awarded Las Vegas’s Chef of the Year.

The Rio’s state-of-the-art conference space includes an existing 98,000 square feet with an additional 55,000 square feet coming on-line May of 2005, and offers easy access and great flexibility. The layout of the conference space, and its easy access, are both a Conference Planner and a Production Company’s dream. The ambiance is elegant yet relaxed, removed from the bustle of activity in the hotel.

The Pavilion Ballroom with 55,488 square feet may be divided into 11 separate meeting rooms. With a height of 30 feet, the ceiling grids may be lowered down to three feet in less than 10 minutes. Each meeting room may be set with a height to suit the size and the style of your meeting. The 20 automated ceiling grids, each point rated for 1 ton (2,000 lbs), provide an excellent way to suspend a car, or hang lighting and speakers. The professional built-in 3,300 square foot theatrical stage is a must. The hydraulic stage lift is perfect for a launch.

The Brasilia Ballroom with 20,306 square feet of flexible space is ideal for break-outs or for meals. The permanent stage provides the flexibility to do rear-screen projection without building a set. The concert quality speakers and 24-foot ceiling height are ideal for keynote speakers or entertainment during your final night’s award dinner.
The 10,935 square foot Miranda Ballroom divides into eight breakouts, and is ideal for workshops or offices. The outdoor patio is perfect for refreshment breaks.

Two fully-equipped boardrooms, ideal for last minute meetings, are conveniently located adjacent to the two built-in registration desks equipped to handle group check-in. Sponsors especially appreciate the Video wall and Video monitors found throughout the facility.
Additional breakout space is available throughout the hotel; even our 630 square foot suites are often used! A dedicated television channel may be activated so that all participants may simultaneously receive the same message.
Set-up and tear-down are easy with three dedicated loading docks and ample backstage parking.

Conference Services


The moment you decide to confirm your conference at the Rio a dedicated Convention Service Manager will be assigned to your group. This person will become your new best friend in the planning of your program. Your Convention Service Manager will be by your side from start to finish. They will assist you with meeting room set-up, menu selection, rooming lists, audio/visual, and VIP amenities. Your Convention Service Manager can also assist in coordinating group reservations for our shows, restaurants and even Key Note Speakers. They will do whatever it takes to insure your meeting is a success.

Once onsite, your convention will be started even before your attendees arrive with a pre-convention meeting. At this time, you will have the opportunity to meet all the of the key players in making your conference a success. You will also be provided with a Nextel radio/phone to keep you connected with your team.
