Sam Woo Barbeque evolved 50 years ago in Hong Kong. Through their philosophy of working together as a family and putting their monies together, Sam Woo Barbecue has become a strong force as an Asian restaurant chain. Approximately 20 years ago Sam Woo Barbecue opened their first restaurant in the states at Chinatown in Los Angeles.
As time went on they expanded throughout the Los Angeles area, then to Canada and just 9 years ago in Las Vegas. "Our success is due to my hard work in overseeing the operation and my associates taking pride in their appointed positions," Chu contends. "We have to spend many hours to bring our customers the best product we can serve. Although our pork, duck chicken and beef are of the highest standards, we have to keep up with the times in our presentation of cuisine and the surroundings of the restaurant."
According to Chu, just to remodel the restaurant this year cost $100,000 for the marble walls, booths, carpet and mirrored walls. Sam woo Barbeque also serves fresh seafood. The restaurant seats 110 patrons and the service is fast and efficient. In order to accommodate the customers, the table are perpared 10 different times a day. That's well over 1000 customers per day.
