Las Vegas loves its icons. Frank Sinatra, Sammy Davis Jr., Joey Bishop, and Dean Martin represent everything Las Vegas was and is... a place to be cool, whether you really are or not. We know how they looked, thanks to endless photographs of the Rat Pack that never go out of style, their pearly grins frozen in grainy black and white, but watching them in action is the only way to really experience them. Thank God for tribute shows.
Sandy Hackett is the son of entertainment legend Buddy Hackett. He is a comedian, writer, producer, and the only person who Joey Bishop picked to play himself. He maintains the flow of the show, providing humor where it's needed and stepping back to let the performers shine through when it's needed. And the performers do shine, each actor drawing from years of love for their respective heroes. Guests are impressed by the likenesses and amazed by the voices. They do their part to bring back the Rat Pack for one performance, night after night.
The show begins with recordings of Buddy Hackett as the voice of God, sending the Rat Pack back to the Sahara for one last Las Vegas show. Guests are treated to the next best thing to an actual Rat Pack performance during an hour+ of songs and comedy.
