There's a lot of magicians in Las Vegas! Some of them are great magicians, well experienced and able to put on a great show, who wind up in tiny showrooms in old hotels.
That's the case with Steven and Cassandra Best, a magician/lovely assistant duo who perform fantastic, how-did-he-do-that illusions. They do it in the showroom at the Vegas Club, one of downtown's original hotels. The hotel is aged, the showroom is little, and the air smells like smoke. That shouldn't matter: if you want to be up-close and personal with an experienced magician, this is the way to do it. Steven Best will be, at the farthest, a few feet from you. You'll be able to see for youself the misdirection, inspiration, and sweat that go into a magic show.
It is, of course, not the best show in Las Vegas. But it is cheap, and deals are easy to get. If you're already downtown, and you're looking for an inexpensive way to dispatch some time, go and see this classic magician at work.
